These terms are written to be read. They are provided as a starting point and should be reviewed by the business that runs MarginWatch; they are not legal advice.

Who provides MarginWatch

MarginWatch is provided by [Legal business name not set] ("we"). By creating an account or using the free tools you agree to these terms.

Who can use it

MarginWatch is for businesses in the United States, such as restaurants, and the people who run them. You must be able to agree to these terms for your business.

Free trial

Your account starts with a 14 day free trial. No card is needed and you are never charged for the trial. When it ends, your account becomes read only unless you subscribe.

Subscription and payment

The plan is billed monthly at the price shown on the Billing page before you subscribe. Stripe takes the payment and renews it each month until you cancel. See refunds and cancellation.

Cancelling

You can cancel any time from the Billing page, through Stripe's customer portal. You keep access until the end of the month you paid for.

Acceptable use

Upload only invoices and data you have the right to use. Do not try to break, overload or get around the limits of the service, reach other people's data, or use it for anything unlawful.

Your data

You own your invoices and everything you enter. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide MarginWatch to you, through the services listed on the privacy page. We do not sell your data.

Invoice reading can be wrong

Invoices are read with AI, which can make mistakes. You review the Line Items on each invoice before confirming it, and only confirmed invoices count towards your prices and alerts.

No guarantee and limits on liability

MarginWatch is provided as is. We do not guarantee savings, that prices, costs or alerts are accurate, or that the service is always available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time on the Billing page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you by email when we do.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account while your trial or subscription is running. If your trial ends without subscribing, a payment fails for 7 days, or your subscription ends, your account becomes read only and we delete it 90 days later. You can delete it yourself sooner at any time.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we email account holders before the change takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Governing state not set].

Support is by email only, at [Support email not set]. There are no phone calls or demos.
